4 THINGS THAT CAUSE 99% OF ALL ONLINE BUSINESS FAILURE

“Success In Business Is 10% Inspiration, 90% Perseverance”

One of the greatest things you can learn right off the bat, is that success in any aspect of your life is based mainly on your ability to persevere.  Whether you want to become a professional athlete, a Doctor, an Engineer, or an online entrepreneur.  The underlying commonality between everyone successful is that they stuck with it.

You never see a millionaire, or a pioneer in a certain industry who says he/she was successful by not finishing the task at hand.  Success will come to all who persist, but making the journey to your goals easier is possible when you’re equipped with the knowledge that comes from those before you who have made it happen for themselves.

While reaching your goal is the ultimate accomplishment, the journey that you take to get there can and should also be very enjoyable, and the sooner you’re able to enjoy the process, the sooner you’ll truly start to experience the joy and freedom that this Internet lifestyle can give you.

I want to share with you now, four things that are responsible for the demise of almost all those who try to build an online business:

1 – Not Focusing On Educating Yourself

Education is the most powerful tool there is, period.  The more you know the more you can accomplish, the more you learn the more money you are likely to make, these two things are very closely related.  The reason why most people fail online is because there’s no certified educational body for teaching people how to start online businesses.  There is however, a way to earn your online business MBA, and that is by ferociously learning as much as you can by looking and modelling those people who have been successful doing what you want to do.

Not only will learning help you build your business, but this education you build is an asset that you can use down the road to consult others and make a very handsome sum of income.

2 – Expecting An Overnight Success

There really is no such thing as an ‘overnight success’.  You see a lot of these new recording artists who are given the title of being an ‘overnight success’, but if you read their bio you’ll see that most of them put in the leg work for many, many thankless years before they built a name and earned their way to the top.

I recently read Michael Buble’s autobiography, and he talked about how he did the wedding circuit in his hometown for almost a full decade until the right person heard him sing.  That’s almost 10 years of grinding it out, but the reason why he was able to grind it out is because he had the intense desire to be an artist, otherwise he would have never made it.  It was pure determination to keep on going, whether he made it one day or not.

You can use this same mentality when starting your online business – keep grinding and pushing and networking until you finally make it.

P.S.  Apply this to any aspect of your life and you’ll be one of those people who looks like everything they do is a success!

3 – Not Networking Enough With Others In The Same Market

A big mistake many newcomers make is trying to out-do the competition, but in fact is that the fastest way to success and the best way to make big money is by networking with and befriending those in your market with a similar mindset.  There’s nothing wrong with being friends with someone selling the same type of product or service, in fact, it’s a perfect opportunity to put two smart, hard-working minds together to make more money and achieve more success that either would on their own.

Networking by blogging, commenting on other’s blogs, adding posts to forums… all of these things can add up and help you make new friends with people who are on the same page as you.

4 – Lacking Perseverance

I think the point of perseverance was driven home fairly well in the introduction, but I was to re-iterate once more how important sticking with something really can be.  George E. Allen said this:  ”People of mediocre ability often achieve outstanding success because they don’t know when to quit”, and it’s 100% true.  You’ll never know just how insanely successful you will become unless you stick with it.  And when you combine the knowledge and plan you set for yourself, then combine that with a burning desire to succeed, the sky really is the limit to what you can achieve.

Until Next Time!
